Briefing

They held a secret meeting, which was attended by a new Sheriff - Mosley, Hammerite High Priest Elrond and a pagan called Neiklot. An interesting thing was that the meeting was also attended by one of the Mechanics, who claimed to be one of Karras' sons. The guy considered his father to be paranoid and he was seeking protection. The purpose of the meeting was to find a solution of how to get protection against all the dangers comming from Karras. It was agreed that a place called Safe Haven will be built and everyone who can afford it, will be able to seek safety in there. A set of rules and regulations for Safe Haven was also established, because people of different races and religions may stay there at the same time: like the Sheriff and a Pagan for example. If one kills the other, the latter would probably also die shortly. And if the guy managed to escape, there were guard patrols in the city, which would be after him. The rules were simple and effective and they were enthusiastically welcomed by everyone.

So people were supposed to get some peace and safety without any fear for the loss of their lives.

To be honest, you were not interested with the details about the creation of Safe Haven. Surely, this place must be quite expensive for the kind of service it provides. And... and that is what really interests you. :)
