The map design was pretty nice. You are in a small village and the map area itself it not very large, but there are many rooms making it compact, so there will be a decent amount of time spent playing. It took me 2-3 hours to complete. I was totally lost trying to understand where some switches were at a few points and regrettably had to use a walkthrough. The atmosphere was really neat with Garrett having a cozy cottage to retire in, and on halloween night he finds himself relieving his neighbors of their belongings. The pumpkins were my favorite part of the map design, they really stood out. Also, the grocer was another fun area to discover, where you got to pick up over 50 food items, and these were useful because food can heal you in this mission. Overall a pretty decent FM, and one I would recommend for any FM collection.

The mission is worth playing for its specific Halloween atmosphere. Given the year it was originally released, it's a really good level.

I think that Purah's later missions are more advanced in almost all aspects - Calendra's Cistern in particular feels like Lampfire Hills Enhanced, but still I like Lampfire for being paradoxically both grim and cozy (even despite at same time being boxy and simplistic). Also I like how - sometimes imaginatively - this mission uses such limited space and features some vertical action.
