Its obvious a lot of care went into building this mission with its inspired concept and deep puzzles. However, Hilbert's Hotel is a maze and a key hunt which becomes far more frustrating than any of its puzzles. Almost every door requires a key to the point you will be surprised when they open freely or that you are able to use your lockpicks. Perhaps making this feel like an eternal search was part of the missions theming but it doesn't lead to very fun design. The most enjoyable part of this mission is the puzzles which for even the most enthusiastic brain teaser fans will probably have them stumped at least a time or two. Its a real shame that the layout is set up so unintuitively because once you know the solution to a puzzle you'll groan realizing you need to backtrack across half the map again to implement it. This wouldn't be so bad if the guard patrols were interesting with multiple paths or shortcuts that opened up to allow you to sneak though but in most cases its a straight shot with guards pacing back along non intercepting paths. Any experienced thief fan will have no trouble ghosting past all these guards but you should go ahead and knock them out because you'll be sick of running past them after going in circles, rereading notes, and wondering if you missed a key somewhere only to find the way forward was tucked away in some corner you walked by time and time before. If the author continues this story I hope they will manage to improve upon level navigation because there is a lot to enjoy about this mission in spite of it. This mission has an inspired concept, unique mechanics, and brain melting puzzles so you could do a lot worse choosing a mission to try out. Just don't feel to bad looking at a guide if you end up infinitely lost exploring any of never-ending floors at Hilbert's Hotel.
