This mission is about as good as it can be, and turns out that is pretty good.
This is a standard mansion mission, with a slightly unusual set of objectives. It's well built (some of the brushwork is a bit weak in places, this is very much pre-newdark, so I can give it a pass on that) doesn't feel overly restrictive after the initial introduction, and is just generally well built. The mission is also the perfect size. Feeling cozy, but not overly cramped.
The plot is extremily predictable, but doesn't really suffer because of it. You probably know what is going on going into this mission, and that's fine. It's all well executed, and didn't really need any complications.
Where this mission does fall apart a little, is in one of it's secondary objectives; you have to find a ring, which is sitting in a fairly logical place but is also tiny and hard to spot. There is also the unavoidable fact that, however well executed this was for the time, you have probably played dozens or hunderds of missions just like this one, and aside from the objectives there isn't much to set this apart from any of those mansions.
In general though, this is just a very strong mission. It doesn't outstay it's welcome, feels fun to play, and is just conventionally good.
