When I got around to playing this, I had already gone through a period of brainmelting in the missions prior to this that was so bad I almost said, "This mission is scuffed, I'm skipping it." However, The Prodigal Corpse doesn't have anything to actually get that mad about in hindsight. I mean, the mission isn't good, but it's in that amateurish way rather than something designed to piss you off.
Your goal is to break into a mansion and drop off the corpse of the lord's gambling-addicted head servant, pretty much as the result of a dare from the lord himself. The mansion is a massive rectangle, with it feeling like the author had a grandiose plan in mind, but then placed a few props and went "Damn, this is hard" and left it at that. Rooms are cavernous and the entire house is populated by like 6 NPCs. I can see the vision but it's just not there.
The part that got me riled up was the corpse delivery objective. You're supposed to drop the corpse into the lord's en-suite bathtub, but it seems the author gave it the "Corpse" metaproperty, without actually making the corpse 'dead' functionally, so if you leave him in the bathtub, he drowns and you fail the mission for murdering. I had to restart because I'm a big dummy who loves quicksaving without having a hardsave backup. I inevitably restarted the mission when realizing there wasn't a loot requirement so I was able to just sprint through objectives. I don't know if I missed a dml fix or something but this was upsetting in the moment.
This mission definitely suffers from Early FM Syndrome, and overall its harmless. I think there were some ideas here that could've been neat, if a bit simple, but they just weren't realized at the author's skill level.
