You've always had a soft spot for the Lady Ariella but when she comes looking for you in the middle of a well-earned night off it's not a dream come true. Her
daughter has been kidnapped by the Cult of the Wickerman and she wants you to rescue her. The note left in her daughter's bed says she will be burned as a sacrifice that very night as a punishment to Ariella for defying the will of their leader. The only person who Ariella can think of who might do such a thing is the scheming Lord Shadwick who has been making unwelcome advances ever since her husband died some years ago. Only last week she had slapped his face at a masked ball and he had left threatening revenge.
One of Ariella's servants says she's heard rumours about a secret grove in the
forest south of the City where the Cult is supposed to carry out their sick rituals.
She also knows of an undergound passage which leads into the grove. Taking the bare essentials with you, you set off for the grove immediately...
