Garrett survives yet another Assassins-like attack. Driven by his usual mix of curiosity and greed, he tries to find out who attacked him and why - and will do so during three missions.
Plot Thickens is the campaign where everyone will find something to their liking: again, there is Assassins-like silent chase in twisted and gloomy night City streets; LotP-like rooftop sneaking; dark castle - formerly residence of dark mage - with ancient mysteries and which inhabitants are NOT what they pretend to be. The first two missions are small, 10-15 min affairs while the last one is the real meat of the campaign. I must admit that this last mission is also my favorite of the pack: the castle - while being not that big - is quite vertical with lots of places below and above, and with lots of cleverly made secrets - some of them are big independent locations with specific challenges of their own. Also this mission has some very interesting objects to manipulate with - like staff which creates zombies (at the cost of Garrett's hit points).
And at the same time, the 3rd mission has its drawbacks: the objective to gather lost equipment is a bit messy and not intuitive; some tasks rely too much on switch-hunting; the overall layout is a bit too much confusing. The plot of entire pack - while, staying true to the campaign's name, and feeling like compressed spring - has some logical holes. In general, Unbidden Guest (from the same Classic Thief Experience) felt more balanced and intuitive than TPT. In any case, it is worthy adventure for 2-2,5 hours.
