The Time That Has Passed is a rather classic city mission in which you are tasked with getting a valuable clock, breaking someone out of prison and getting a Keeper book. Quite the night, eh? The mission is rather basic compared to Thieves' Highway and The Power of Suggestion, mostly one-dimensional, but it is still quite fun. Your journey will also take you to a nice little house at one point. Uncadonego already had a good grasp of The Metal Age's aesthetics, which is something he perfected in his subsequent missions.
The thing with this mission is that it's quite frustrating at times. There is an overabundance of AI in the city which placements range from annoying and devilish to outright unfair. There are a few guards you just cannot avoid being seen by. I like to sneak by people unnoticed and I always find it a bit devastating when I can't do that. Fortunately, you have quite the arsenal to dispose of them. The lights also seem to have infinite radii which makes sneaking even harder. Some guards spawn in after you accomplish a bunch of tasks too. The house, fortunately, largely avoids this and actually feels a bit empty in comparison. I didn't find the story to be particularly good (felt a bit cliché and melodramatic) but I did like how the objectives played out. The few conversations, however, are really neat.
It's a pretty good mission, but I think it doesn't really hold a candle to Thieves' Highway or The Power of Suggestion. Still, it's nice to see how Uncadonego's missions evolved.
