This map has gotten criticism due to it's lack of gameplay. While I understand this critique I don't agree with it.
I think gameplay can be partitioned into (at least) two categories: Stealth/Evasion and Exploration.
Even on expert this mission is very easy to stealth through. However, it was one of my favorite areas to explore in the campaign so far. It also has one of the best atmospheres in any TDM to date. The pacing was great - the optional lighthouse area was great - the lore talking about the wrecked ship were well done and bring up questions that I hope will be resolved in future maps. I also think the lack of gameplay serves the atmosphere and story better. It wouldn't have made as much sense thematically if there had been a ton of enemies in the area.
A cool moment: The engineer turning on the power over and over again was a nice touch. I finally turned it off and ambushed the poor bastard when he came back. I liked the model of the guy and how he would actually turn the lights back on.
In summary: While the Stealth/Evasion of this mission was very easy - the Atmosphere, Exploration, and Story of this mission more than make up for it. The atmosphere and story are the best in the campaign so far.
Critiques:
* I wish there were other ways to determine guilt on all the parties without readables giving away all the exposition every time. The biggest mistake all of these criminals made is having diaries! I always liked how you determined Karras and Truart were awful people by listening in on one of their conversations.
* I don't think the guy needed to have his dagger out. Being a master of disguise and all - he should probably conceal his weapon. It also just makes it too easy.
