"A Night in Old Quarter" is a solid and enjoyable city FM, if not a particularly original one. The story is pretty thin but basically has Garrett venturing into the Old Quarter to steal a few pieces of merchandise, one of which is buried in the haunted Sealed Section, but you'll need to head to the other objectives first.
Korthak's Old Quarter is done in a classic Dark Project style, with all stock textures and effective design throughout. The streets have ample deep shadows to make sneaking around a pretty comfortable experience, but there also opportunities to traverse the city via the ledges, pipes, and windows of Thieves Highway. Actually it's more like a few side streets than the large interconnected highway system of "Disorientation" or its kin, but it gives some new ways to move around. Even better is the large sewer/cave system that links widely dispersed parts of the map.
The initial objectives, a Hammerite church and a typical marble-floors-and-carpets mansion, are typically but effectively designed and have the requisite multiple entrances and exits. The final objective in the Seal Section has a pretty cool build-up but is over pretty quickly. The process of finding it is probably the highlight of the mission's simple story, taking you a creepy (but apparently still inhabited) neighborhood whose deserted streets carry a haunted air... The Sealed Quarter itself is a bit short, just a small section of ruined city leading to a little crypt. I'd like to have spent more time there, but it's a fun little section of the map.
While there are some things that could be fleshed out to make it a true classic, "A Night in Old Quarter" is still a fine mission, one I'm happy to add to my growing personal canon of city missions.
