I heard about this mission before as one of the classics, but got a chance to play it only now.
It strongly reminded me of retro horror like "Invasion of the Body Snatchers". The story spoils everything immediately and doesn't have a chance for a proper build up, so it's horror element is basically absent and the only thing you get is guards looking like humans with insect heads (which still is an interesting custom element). The aesthetic is quite unique with everything being black and white except for a select few things.
The mission suffers from lacking of progression structure. Moment to moment gameplay is fine, but you just go through areas and press buttons without knowing what they do. There's a lot of loot, a lot of levers and hidden doors. But all of that is just... there. There are a lot of breakable things in this mission, including glass. And it's quite ambitious for an early mission, which is commendable.
It's worth trying, but it didn't age all that well.
