I had recieved a rather strange offer today. The Mechanists report to me that
their mysterious KD site was ransacked by a group of mages and warriors known as the "Ante Mechanists". They command strong knowledge of both magic and machinery, and are said to have brought a bunch of creatures fighting for them. The Mechanists were ill prepared for the attack, and lost most of their force.
They believe that kidnapping Cadavor, their chief in command, will help them
understand this sect better. While I would normally be suspicious, Artemus
advised me that the Mechanists would keep their word, and the pay is good.
I don't mind taking a few risks for a reward well earnt.
The Mechanists have arranged for me to be dropped in using their submarine.
Money has been a bit tight recently, so I'll have to go without visiting the shop. Hopefully this job will give me the break I need, I've lacked good opportunities and a Mechanist site surely should have some wealth worth
borrowing.
