This sequel to "Lord Edmund Entertains!" is definitely a fun romp through and through, with plenty of neat puzzles and navigation challenges (that Hammerite machine room being my favorite). It takes you to a number of places and is overall more expansive than this author's previous FM, but it also seems more unfocused. For instance, once you're done with this level's main objective, the rest of the mission is figuring out how to get back to your starting point, which takes you through all sorts of places. While this is all fun, it kind of feels like there should have been another side objective or something to give the journey a little more purpose besides loot. Nonetheless, I think it's worth playing if you have some time and enjoyed the first level, as the stuff that's here has heart put into it.
Oh, and even though the "Diabolical" difficulty suggests that you play on an easier difficulty first, the gold requirement and the medallion puzzle are both very easy to complete if you are prone to exploring and are good at paying attention to what you read.
What disappoints me the most, however, is that the FM teases another possible sequel that was never delivered. When you get the Duke's diary, it mentions a certain Grayfalk Museum, which would have probably been where the next FM would take place. I like to imagine that Garrett would have gone to the mysterious place underneath the museum to destroy or seal away the idol for good, since it doesn't seem to be bringing him any profit. We'll never know for sure though, which is a real shame.
