Compact settlement of Craggenmense in the deep of some valley in the mountains - and it is vertical, detailed and labirynthine. It's a spiral multi-layered layout in which sometimes you can easily lost. It is not big: only two big mansions of sworn rivals (who rule this city) and several buildings around them.
This mission oozes atmosphere: it is gloomy, surreal and oppressive and it seems that no one is happy here - even two mages who is plotting against each other in this godforsaken land to no end. The texturing, the use of light and placing of AIs contribute huge into this feeling: you are navigating in the gloomy, dark and rather grayish, decaying and faded environments with some cyclopic architecture (that broken "bridge" above the valley - wnen it was built? By WHOM?), populated by arrogant treacherous mages, their armed to the teeth minions, their not-so-helpless servants and thieves' gangs - all the "marvellous" folk you can meet in this gloomy labyrinth of city. The plot is quite simple here but I don't think it's bad - especially considering that you have different and sometimes un-obvious ways of dealing with two most powerful artifacts (some kind of hint). My biggest complaint here is that some places are very dark even considering that it was deliberate choice of the author. Still it is great mission and I think it is one of the best single missions in a year.
