Full disclosure, it's been a good long while since I've played this mission. Needless to say, I liked it.
However, I just wanted to specifically compliment the author for the textures. I'm the kind of person who really just can't stand the texture quality of Thief—blame my young gamer brain—and so I very regularly make use of Necroage, the HD Mod, and (more recently) the ERSGAN texture packs. Needless to say, when I saw this mission was recommended to be played without texture mods, I was put out.
Thus, initially, when I entered the mission and saw that the textures were all intentionally pixilated, I was surprised. It seemed strange to me, for someone to put in so much effort on the textures only to make them... well, not exactly worse, but why do it like this instead of just letting me use a retexture mod? Then I started going through the mission and it just clicked. I can't really put it into words, which sort of makes this review pointless, but let me put it this way:
Lots of people say they prefer Thief 1/G because it has a certain atmosphere to it that isn't in Thief 2. I didn't truly understand what that feeling was until I played this mission.
I hope that helps.

i think your brain does a better job of antialiasing unfiltered textures automatically (once you've adjusted to them), while also subconsciously filling in the missing details so paradoxically the textures look sharper. also, the colours pop more because they haven't been aliased into a muddy mess. who knew? props to the author.
