A Night in Old Quarter is a solid city exploration mission that does everything you expect it to do. It starts as Garret is again are short on cash, and has to venture to the Old Quarter for another artefact job to pay up his rent. Being a bit light on the story, the mission makes up for it with an engaging design. The city block is beautifully realised, and as Garret makes his way through the streets, there's plenty of opportunities for vertical exploration into those enticingly open windows. The mission is generally on the easier side, even when playing on Expert difficulty, as there aren't many watchmen patrolling around. With one particular mansion with marble floors and double patrols being an exception.
Being a good mission there's, nonetheless, still a couple of shortcomings worth mentioning. Yes, the mission does everything you expect it do: venturing City streets, robbing a luxury estate, visiting Hammerite cathedral, descending into sewers and, finally, making your way into the Sealed Section of the Old Quarter. But that's it - there are absolutely no surprises whatsoever. The other thing, it's a bit light on quest clues. No, there's nothing mind-bogglingly hard, but mission expects you to thoroughly explore the Old Quarter before venturing into the Sealed Section. Failing to find certain keys, or even some of the main objectives, will absolutely stop you in your tracks. And there's barely any hints, if at all, on the exact whereabouts of those important items.
