It is currently possible to assign missions to gameplay categories like "AI Battle/Battle Arena/Combat" or "Forced Ghosting". Since there are missions with a main focus on finding keys to doors, would an additional "Keyhunt" category be a good addition to the site?

We thought about introducing a Keyhunt section to the Mission by Type thread many years ago but in the end it was agreed that there is too much of a negative connotation to the word Keyhunt, so that would probably put people off playing missions within that section.
Also how do you define a keyhunt, most missions involve finding keys in one way or other, so how many keys have to be hidden and how well do they need to be hidden makes choosing missions for such a category difficult to define.
Not to say you shouldn't add such a category to this website, but those are the reasons we left such a section out of the Mission by Type thread.
As an aside I do wonder how some people choose the selections for some of the missions on this site, for example with Intertheft they have chosen Phobic (spiders/heights) but there are only 2 spiders in the mission I wouldn't consider that as a phobic mission, and why Beasts?
As far as I can see every mission has 2-5 excessive or unrelated categories, and that also confirms my argument above for being careful before introducing a Loothunt category.
I'm only being picky as I know how difficult it is to choose selections but why some people choose say snow, rain or undead etc when there isn't any in the mission is beyond me. :)

The category I would like to see is "Forced combat". Although there are probably relatively few missions that fit this description, I know it's an absolute dealbreaker for a lot of players, myself included.

I wish there was a "Walking simulator" category instead of useless "Phobic". Also "Forced combat" is a really great idea for renaming an already existing "Assassination".

Fair point, but I think there's a difference between sneaking up to an unaware target to kill him and having to fight an enemy who's scripted to be aware of you. I can deal with assassinating someone quietly; I don't want to have to battle an angry Hammer haunt.

Hey guys. If you ask me, your suggestions sound similar to "Keyhunt", in terms of connotation. But that is only my humble opinion.
This portal should not be based on one's personal opinion however ;) I think choices like this should be resolved by an open discussion, so I am open for suggestions.

@ thebigh
There is a forced combat section, it's titled AI Battle/Battle/Combat but I agree Forced Combat is probably a better word for it.

As with the word Loothunt I would suggest the words 'Walking Simulator' also has a negative connotation about it, I know what you mean by the words but the moment you included such a section I can guarantee that people would place missions in that category just because there is a large distance to walk between 2 different areas of the map without considering how good those different areas are, this means others would be put off playing simply because someone else got bored of walking the whole way round the map, because they hadn't found the secret tunnel for quick access.
As for the phobic section, I answered this question in the discussion over at TTLG when we proposed upgrading the mission by type thread. The guy who originally put together the MbyT thread was Kamyk and he suffered from a phobia of both spiders and heights, so out of respect for him that section was retained in the first upgrade in 2014, but was removed in the 2021 upgrade, however it looks like Konrad simply copied all the sections from both upgraded MbyT threads when he started this site.
If there was a change of section on this site I would agree about getting rid of phobic, but yes still keep spiders, trust me there are loads and loads of players who really do have problems with those critters and very much appreciate knowing in advance if there are an excessive number of spiders allowing them to avoid playing that particular mission.

I agree with Fortuni's well-reasoned first reply: "Keyhunt" is too subjective. I withdraw my suggestion. Categories should be unambiguous.
