A three night campaign that have all elements of a good Thief game. Hammerites? Checked. Mecanists? Checked. Pagans and magic? Checked. Ghosts and zombies? Checked. Yes, you have to play two mission in the same streets, and in modern FMs it could've been done in only one mission with a merged prologue. But modern FMs usually fail to deliver a city this big. Death's Cold Embrace, with its arguably better atmosphere, forces you to replay a fraction of what the Seven Sisters has to offer.
By roping on a certain part of a building I was able to walk on roofs. I thought it was a nice shortcut, a way to exploit NewDark's new mantle to be somewhat out-of-bound (and I was at a certain point out-of-bound)… until I found four locations with loot.
Nearly every character you stumble upon has a story, nearly every location has a story. Rowena's love for her characters is present. I enjoyed roleplaying a bit in the second mission: this guy killed his wife, so I'll bring his diary to the police station… Doing so, by simply caring about the stories, I was able to uncover hidden objectives. Ophelia's storyline is great, and you can complete the campaign missing it entirely.
