A tiny subgenre of FM exists which I refer to as "journey" You start at one end of the map, the main objective is to get to the other. No branching paths, no necessary backtracking.
Oh sure, that isn't the actual objective, but it's the style this FM follows, and it's the first of it's kind. It's also, oddly, the first prisonbreak FM. It's forging ahead into new territory. It starts in a prison, and then awkwardly transitions into a sewer, and then even more awkwardly transitions to a manorhouse. It's not graceful, but it functions. Gameplay starts off with forced ghosting, though once you reach the manor, it won't take long to transition to a blackjack-athon.
Unfortunately, innovative new designs take time to perfect, and this mission, while it mostly holds up, isn't that great. Gameplay wise it is impossible to be entirely stealthy, killing the boss triggers multiple alerts, and I still dislike murder objectives in general. Still it's short, does some neat things, and I can't help but respect it.
