Autumn in Lampfire Hills follows on from "The Shadow of Lord Rothchest ", though only in a very loose sense. Garrett has settled down, and is living a peaceful life in Lampfire hills, it is haloween, so he decides it is the perfect day to go out and rob some people. The one night there is a curfew, and people are killed on sight, and also given the rumors of ghosts, the night most likely to have ghosts about.
Garrett is not very smart, it seems.
Still, this map is actually really cool. It's a city map (more of a village map really) and it looks amazing. The brushwork is good, the texturework is good... The enviroment is actually the best I have seen so far.
Gameplay is slightly weaker, the tight corridors don't do much for stealth, and the hammerite church seems impossible to pass without a fight. There are also a lot of hidden switches that need to be hunted for, though none are desperately well hidden. Finally, I feel like I might have sequence broke the mission, as I never really did anything with the lever behind Garretts house.
In general, the atmosphere alone makes this mission worthwhile. Probably the second best FM I have played since I started playing 1999 missions.
