Fishmonger is a wonderfully messy mission. It is a hammerite cathedral, with a lost city beneath it, and also contains a mansion, and of course, the "Golem" mentioned in the objective.
If I can be honest, I enjoy this mission more than ones like "Hush.... Hush, Sweet Harlot " But that's not because it's good. This mission is ugly, crude, and contains a bunch of different ideas that barely fit together... But it also is creative, and interesting. To start with it is just a small hammerite church, however, while exploring you find the key to the fishmongers house. Heading inside, you can rob the place, and find and destroy the golem. You might also be able to find your way at some point, into the underground "lost city" part of the mission, However, even though you transition between these zones naturally, They don't feel particularly connected. Indeed, when it came time to write this review, I had trouble remembering if these elements all came from the same FM at all!
unfortunately, the brushwork, and execution in general, leaves much to be desired. There are far too many thin corridors with guards who fill the whole space, and a lot of the construction is just a bit too cramped. There are puzzle elements to some of the objectives, usually requring you to find the right readable and from there, work out what needs to be done. None of these were particularly difficuilt for me, but your miliage may vary on that one.
A noble and exciting effort, that fails due to a few issues. Sadly, even for it's time, there were other FMs already doing similar things to this one, with a much higher level of competence.
