The setup is great: as a young Garrett we must pass one final test in order to become a full fledged Keeper. We must navigate our Thief version of Hogwarts and complete various objectives on a marvelously detailed, sprawling map. Many well written readables can be found everywhere and invading the dorm rooms in order to nose into the private matters of our fellow students is always fun. The map itself is extremely detailed and pretty unique as a sort of magical college. Emphasis on college as much as magic.
However, playing through the FM itself is an absolute chore. There are guards and other NPCs literally everywhere, stacked on top of each other in some areas, and many objectives are frivolous item hunts. The core of the gameplay turns is an absolute save-scum fest, as some forced ghosting is also required.
A map of this quality deserved better gameplay.
