The ending of T2 was a bit poor. That's not a contreversial statement. Casing, and masks, are both very low quality, and Kidnap is only slightly better.
It makes sense, therefore, to imagine alternitives, ways to improve this final sequence. This mission is arguably, in concept, a welcome addition to thief Canon.
Unfortunately, it's quality is abysmal. Not only does the mission look ugly, there is a place where a ladder places you up on the "roof" of the mission, so you can see places you definitely shouldn't. The density of guards is ridiculous and all in all, it's a very poor outing. The gameplay can be a little fun in the way that you can knock out whole armies in short succession, which can make me momentarily happy. But it's a fleeting feeling, and not one I seek out.
Some interesting ideas, but this needed a lot more time to be built, and honestly, what I do see makes me think this mission was doomed from the start due to fundemental design issues.
One final note: I swear I played this mission a long time ago, but the area I remember playing was not found anywhere in this mess. This does make me wonder if there are multiple versions of this mission floating around, though it is equally likely my memory is for a different mission that was equally bad.
