Some missions, I play once, and never again. Some, I play multiple times but only to confirm specific things.
This is the first mission I played twice, and where both playthroughs felt like completely seperate experiences.
This is a prison break mission. Garrett got caught by hammerites, and is going to be hung. Get out. Also, it's a ghosting mission. If you are spotted, you lose.
To give a quick spoiler-free summary. Its a fun mission, challenging if you are trying too find everything. Ghosting can be a bit tiresome at times as the guards often just stop and stare into space. It's a decent mission, worth playing if you like prison break missions, and ghosting.
Minor spoilers ahead:
My first playthrough, I escaped my cell, and slowly worked my way through the backrooms and sewers of the prison, escaping after a short but enjoyable romp, where there were only maybe 4 guards in the entire mission. yet it felt complete enough that I was satisfied and happy. No extra objectives, just escape and that's enough.
However, there were a handfull of doors and locations I never reached, so I decided to replay to find those areas.
My second playthrough was completely different. Not only was the guard density much higher. The fact I took a different route actually generated new objectives. Usually, short circuiting the entire mission would be a bit of a blackmark against it, but honestly, I thought it was pretty cool. You see the first time I played it safe, took my time, and took the safest path I could find. The second time I was far bolder, picking doors I would otherwise have skipped over. Of course Garrett was more willing to take risks if you are as a player.
I don't know if that is an intentional feature of the mission, or just that the route I took wasn't supposed be available. Either way, it was cool realizing just how much deeper the rabbithole went on my second playthrough.
The main issues with this mission all come down to how patient you are, and if you mind ghosting. While it's not too difficuilt, there are definitely frustrating parts where you must wait what feels at the time like forever, for a guard to move on with their patrol. There are sections where I was backtracking, and I wished I didn't have to dance around the same guy 4 times. This mission also uses super dark areas, though if your smart, you will observe all such areas have a lightswitch inside them, so I really didn't think it was an issue.
Ignoring the ghosting, the mission is actually pretty well designed, and I can say it is worth playing. though it's nothing too incredible.
