This is what the forbidden lovechild of Thieves Guild and Shipping & Receiving looks like. Infilrtrating a warehouse that's a front for a gang of rogues, Garrett is here, predictably, to rob them blind, and steal their "special cargo". Along the way, he must also pay a visit to the City Watch station and swipe his own criminal record... and that's about the long and short of it. Rain and good lighting really help nail a moody atmosphere, backed up by custom ambient music.
The warehouse is guarded ferociously, and a lot of fun was had when trying not to knock any of them out, though it'd be a challenge to do so and hide their bodies without getting caught. Patrol routes are predictable, but far reaching and overlapping, so you're always kept on your toes.
There's quite a few readables along the way, and they're very nicely written. They signpost mission critical elements without being overt, and each one feels like it really was written by a different person. After robbing the special cargo, there is a third act, which is brief but excellent; it totally surprised me.
If I were to give criticisms, it's that the new ambient music, while welcome at first, became a little trying, and that was within the hour and a half that I spent playing this. There's a specific part of it that sounds like Thomas the Tank Engine is having a hissy fit - or at least, that's what my brain thought, and now I can't think of anything else. The main corridors of the Watch station are also covered in marble, turning that section of the mission into a creep-forward fest, which is always a bit dull.
