A mission with a classical beads-on-a-string structure of very different areas that is interesting to compare with author's last previous one, which was the first part of the same campaign, and feels like either they are definitely making progress, or they spent all their bullets and cramped ideas for several different missions into a single one. The first two areas (or 1 + 2a + 2b if we consider experiencing the second one from two different...perspectives) are definitely top notch in inventiveness, surreal atmosphere and level design and in the 2nd we meet an original type of ai/enemy that we even get a spooky foreboding of in the first - a nice atmospheric touch. The only niggle I would have with these two areas is a solution to one puzzle in the first that isn't logical (in contrast to all previous ones) but simply triggered deus ex machina by doing an unrelated thing. The rest of the areas are less advanced and somewhat dated in design but still atmospheric and we still get a fair sprinkle of original ais/enemies and ideas and overall there are no obvious glitches or omissions and everything is treated and guided well by the author. A nicely surreal and at times scary excursion.
