The problem with this mission is that it plays like an obstacle course unfortunately paired with environment solving puzzle, i.e., one precludes the other because to thoroughly explore the environment one has to get rid of the obstacle course first. But once you remove that the puzzle part becomes thin and trivial and the whole mission comes crashing apart for lack of substance. In other words (and this also goes for author's other mission, Bad Hangover), gameplay choices can never substitute core content and substantive ideas but rather require carefully dosed sprinkling on top of it, otherwise the result is unpalatable, or it belies the blandness of the core ingredients.
