Come on guys this is not a revelation but also not THAT terrible. By far the most terrible thing about this (author's first and only T2) mission is the amount of technical glitches that are far too numerous to go into in detail, but it nevertheless works mostly in the vein that the most bizarre early T1 missions did - even in the fact that you never know what is an omission and what was intentional, it actually resembles those early naive missions quite a lot, just with advanced T2 graphics, which combined makes this quite a unique experience. Its theme is explained above and in readme and the mission more or less delivers and is thus also quite longer than it first seems, and there is notably a je ne sais quoi touch of mad genius about it, including some vertiginous vistas & ideas (as its one outstanding feature, it may have the tallest building/tower in all of thief that FEELS well over half a mile tall from ground, so it may be worth checking just for the oomph of that one). But apart from author's own rope arrow warning beware also this: the amount of miniature or even invisible switches that can only be detected by frobbing and doubled or tripled locked entrances in a row that are each double and triple secured by combinations of switches and levers often hidden half a mile from the actual thing in this, apart from being often nonsensical and revealing of a typical beginner's trap, is quite serious and can make this quite an exhausting experience, combined with enemies that are often positioned and numerous in such ways (another beginner's hallmark) that mass flashy-thinging or brute force may be the only resort, and the terrible translation of most readables is one thing: singularly horrible. But still - it may be worth trying also for at times interesting approaches, in-mission artworks and quirky architecture. Not entirely hopeless.

I saw the newly uploaded screenshots of The Wall on Thief Guild and my first thought was - due to the overblown colors and the messy architecture: "The looks like an IronEagle aka HawkflyAway mission." I played all of the author's T3 missions. He has a distinctive style he stuck to, ignoring feedback from the community, and even launching nasty attacks against people who gave constructive feedback. His missions are all terrible, including for the reasons you outlined in your review.
I will be skipping this one.

Interesting, but I am unsure if this deserves a straight unequivocal 1 - I've seen much worse that clearly does. This to me has its bizarre charms of the very early or "naive" fms.
