Stronghold is a fun mission to talk about. It's not good, not by any stretch, but it's also not bad in the normal way. It's creative, it tries a lot of things (probably too many things), and honestly I can't help but feel it has a certain charm.
In this mission, you are stealing a sword. It's probably evil or something, and it's deep underground in a mechanist stronghold. Said mechanist stronghold is also partially pagan. There are also undead around.
The mission is exceptionally linear, really being more of a series of setpieces that you must navigate through. As a result, it's fortunate there is only the core objectives, as backtracking would not be pleasent. Each set piece is increasingly difficuilt, but thankfully this FM gives you what feels like infinite resources (even on expert) so it never felt overwhelming to me (It very definitely is not ghostable however.)
It certainly isn't good from any objective standpoint. it's design is sloppy, it's gameplay is questionable, but subjectively, I can't say I didn't enjoy my time here. At the end of the day, I had a lot of fun with this mission regardless, so I have scored is appropriately.
