There's not enough black & white missions so every one of them is a gem on it's own. The color palette here sets the gloomy, dark mood perfectly. Even the short briefing video is kind of unsettling.
The theme of the mission may be a little off-putting to some; it's a bit of a departure from victorian-steampunky Thief world in favour of a dirty, naturalistic settings akin to psychological horror. Personally I like it.
The selected music theme fits but it gets a bit repetitve as you go on.
The spaces are constructed reasonably and convincingly, but there's just one single path through, so no exploration in this one. I also felt I had to reload a bit too often, but I won't go into detail as it would be too much of a spoiler.
There's also some general clunkiness in not being sure which surfaces are available or stumbling upon things in the dark and struggling to move along. I'm pretty sure you can also get into some areas you're not supposed to with newmantle, but that's not the mission's fault, obviously.
All in all, you should totally try it. It's not very long and it's got its flaws, but the experience and tone is quite original for Thief.
