I wish I could skip the cutscene

This is one of the earliest FMs that gained popularity. It certainly was one of the very few snow missions at the time. It's a short campaign to be precise, but the first of 3 missions is a prolonged not skippable cut scene (innovative, but annoying). And the last mission is very short. Still the middle mission is good enough for a high rating.

Can't you skip pretty much any mission with ctrl + alt + shift + end? Or does this break the campaign in any way?

I can confirm that you can skip the intro cutscene. It serves as a separate mission (act 1), so once you go ctrl + alt + shift + end, act 1 will end and act 2 will start. Which is an actual first mission where you have controls.
