The ritual is one of those missions where the meta-narrative of the author slowly improving is probably more interesting than the mission itself. You are garrett, and... well the description of the mission gives you the whole plot already, so I can skip to talking about the execution.
This mission has a lot to like. But only in it's second half. It's quite clear the author started at the start and built out, so the city is the first thing they built and it's design is painful. Long sitelines, slow patrols, and just a general ugliness that I am sure most people will be familiar with from peoples first attempts in Dromed.
Once you get to the second half of the mission, the tomb region, it starts to look a lot better. There is some creativity on display, interesting enviroments, and the mission certainly isn't lacking in variety. While some of the linking corridors are a bit hard to differentiate, the landmarks are all distinct and interesting.
Unfortunately, even at it's best, the mission is still subpar. It's interesting features are legitimately fun to see, but do end up feeling like the designer put them in to test their abilities, rather than because they fit well into the missions structure. More importantly though, these come after working through the terrible beginning of the mission. I honestly can't recommend this to anyone in good faith, even though it's not offensively bad.
