When I saw the four or so pages of maps, I thought I was in for some painful disorientation but, surprisingly, I only got lost once, and it was in the unmapped area. The factory area is probably too large, but its layout is fairly easy to understand once you realize all levels are arranged around the central Reactor (the maps do not make that very clear, and their sheer size may scare you at first.) In fact, from the reactor room, which reminds me of Half-Life's Blast Pit, you can skip all the factory levels or approach them in any order.
You are not going to run out of secrets or loot to find either, and the mission gives you lots of tools, so I'd say this is a fairly generous and forgiving mission (which, until the end, I played in Iron Mode). At least in Hard; haven't tried Expert.
The plot is serviceable but nothing memorable, and the writing goes from ok to odd. For me, the most puzzling aspect is the use of dozens of ML-generated pictures, which seem completely unnecessary considering they are all classical landscapes, Renaissance and Baroque churches, still lives with fruits, or religious portraits (mainly prompted after Da Vinci, I think.) It's not like there's any shortage of those, so I'm not sure why the need to use Craiyon instead of just raiding Wikimedia, particularly as some of the AI paintings are... er... odd-looking, to say the least.
Enjoyed it more than I expected. 7.5/10

star 8 / 10
To me also it's actually a 7.5-7.75/not a straight 8 due to the slightly repetitive level design/assets/secrets approach and no surprises/unique situations of any kind but still a clear step forward (not least in overall conciseness) from Into the Dark Forest Rem. where some parts of the map were just entirely redundant run-throughs (and there's again no shortcut of any kind to get back to the start once all is done but this time it's at least less gross given the slightly more manageable mission size). PS Areas with radioactive junk (or even being near the reimagined robots) for instance could slowly take away your HPs (I actually kinda expected that)/cause you occasionally to caugh/make noise, also some Hammers just mumble standard/unedited mechanist "by karras" junk (those wavs could be clipped a bit), the slight lack of "small fine work" touches and attention also shows e.g. in that difficult to reach areas do not reap any reward, etc.
