I didn't know what I was going into when downloading this, as I didn't read the description or pay attention to the screenshots. I didn't play anything else from the authors. The only information I had was the high rating. So, it was pleasant discovering the peculiarities and eerie feel of the first mission. Yes, this is a micro campaign of two missions.
Then the rabbit hole grew deeper. A short walk trough a sinister forest, bypassing an abandoned mill, leads you to a small village. Small but complete with shops, houses, an inn and a cemetery. And all buildings are accessible. The ambience is very fitting. There is a lot of attention to details, hidden objectives, hard to find areas and variety to be honest in this mission alone. But it's not straight forward. The first time I played this on Expert I was able to complete all but one objectives without hints. Then I retried on Normal to find the objective is still required. After going in circles for a bit I looked for a walkthrough and I found that you are supposed to notice a weird (in my opinion) wooden beam, in an area that I thought was completely optional. Pay attention to your rope arrows.
And then the second mission hits like a brick. More mystery, more secrets, more getting stuck, several plot twists. But let's not spoil this. I am big on atmosphere, and while things like Into The Odd and Calendra's Legacy are great, they are not my cups of tea. This is.
