Starts off great, well balanced, good difficulty, good enemy frequency... and then in the second part of the second mission, it kind of inherits the issues that Legacy of Knoss also has (yes, I know, Legacy of Knoss came after this): WAY too many enemies (especially the Ziggurat of the Elders and the Halls of Eternal Tranqulity were completely nuts in that regard...), unknown enemies which, of course, can't be killed in a traditional way, super tedious map layout which is very hard to navigate, and loads of additional objectives and inventory items, which doesn't help either.
It's unfortunate, because, I really liked both Legacy of Knoss and Catacombs of Knoss up to some point, and then the missions literally go nuts at some point, and, the only crowd I really can recommend them too are hardcore Thief veterans who look for a challenge. And, obviously, those are the ones which voted a 9 or 10 for these missions. I really can't recommend any casual player or beginner to play these, as they will be in for a very, very frustrating experience.
