One should review something for what it is. That is to say, one reviewing some lighthearted rhyme does not compare it to a serious, deep work of poetry. So it is with Thief missions.
This mission is a charming five-minute wonder. I quite like the idea of exploring airships, and given that Thief 2 takes much aesthetic inspiration from the Victorian era, I'm surprised more missions haven't been set on such dirigibles.
All that said, this mission could have been so much more. There are few readables, if there are more than one, and the one I remember is brief, poorly written, and did not do much to immerse me. The ship could certainly be a bit bigger, or at least a bit more detailed, more fleshed out. There are only two enemies patrolling (most are asleep or virtually stationary), and they are in the part of the ship which doesn't really need guarding.
The mission is not really difficult at all, and I finished it is less than thirteen minutes, and my playstyle is concomitant with longer playtimes. And I think this mission marks the first in a long while in which I found ALL the loot in a level. That goes to show how much more detailed this mission could have been.
But, all in all, considering what this mission is, I think it deserves a six instead of something lower.
