This mission feels huge without becoming an unnavigable mess for the player, due to clever use of connectivity to other landmark parts of the map. There's a good amount of variety on offer, with each area having it's own clear visual identity and a good amount of detail. The new item gadgets are especially fun to play with, all but transforming the way you can approach the mission once you acquire them.
Although a reasonable time for this mission would be seeing everything in brief under a couple of hours, overall I spent about 6 hours looking for most of the loot and only suffered a couple of quirks;
- After hitting the elemental creature in the caves with spells a dozen times, it ran off somewhere. 15 minutes later I found it had terrorised the mage's mansion and killed most of the occupants. I'm not sure if this was intentional behaviour, but it added a lot of character to the mission even if it did make things significantly easier
- I kept the gamma just above average to keep the visuals quite dark. However this meant I missed out on at least two obvious Vine Arrow pickups (though the one outside the Keeper compound is partially obscured by a leaf). When I progressed into the Keeper area via mantling the statue onto the battlements, then jumping into the archway, I later found myself unable to cross the pit outside the entrance due to having neither Vine Arrows nor Slow Fall potion available. I loaded a previous save and lost about 15 minutes of effort.

There IS a way (that does not require a vine arrow) to get back across the poisoned water from inside the Keeper sanctuary, but the Keepers have the lever pretty well hidden.
