This 2-mission set is deceiving. The opening part - quiet snowy quarter - is breathtaking. Tricky platforming is rather fun, it's decently structured and it's visually gorgeous. But then the missions go underground and this is where my fun ended. It wasn't bad in the sewers, because there was some variety and some interesting secrets to uncover, but it generally felt so dour in comparison to the beginning part, that I felt robbed. If not for one key, that I spent probably a good hour trying to find, which led to the area that I already explored, my impression of the sewer portion of the map would've been more positive.
The suffering starts in the second mission. First half of it is marble hell. The den is packed with guards and civilians. You can barely move without alerting everyone. It's less challenging and more frustrating. It feels like a lot of work went into crafting visuals, but at the same time the bordello looks rather same-y. The second half is the archive and it was as exciting to explore as walking back and forth through a football field. Large and empty, without any landmarks. With only a few crab people. When I FINALLY was back to the snowy streets, I couldn't be more happy it finally ended. Took me around 4 and half hours to clear both missions.
SPOILERS
I made a mistake of not finding the client information while I was in the bordello, so I had to go all the way back from the pits of the archive to find it. And this is where the mission had the biggest surprise. New patrols, who discovered that someone got into the secret area. This is the kind of reactivity I love in games. Bravo. Thanks to it, I'll give it 7/10 instead of 6.
