I played "Whispers Below the Cobblestone" from the same author before this, and, because I liked it a lot, I decided to give this a go, and wasn't disappointed.
Kind of the same formula as "Whispers Below the Cobblestone", a city style mission with several objectives, which lead you to a Lord's mansion, the local Hammerite church, and the Old Quarter. The locations are all very well done, the author has a real talent for good looking and logical level design. If anything, I found the connectivity and amount of the upper areas (verticality) a bit better solved in "Whispers Below the Cobblestone", but, it's barely worse. What I also could imagine is that the tomb section in the Old Quarter could have done with a bit more work, it's pretty small really, and, as a finish to the mission, it's a tad lacklustre because of that.
Also, the mission suffers from the same rather mediocre readables as "Whispers Below the Cobblestone". I frankly can't even exactly put my finger on why they're mediocre, I just feel like they don't quite hit the tone, so to speak.
That said, those are rather minor issues, and, all in all, the mission is very good. Would have liked to give a 8,5/10 rating, but, ThiefGuild only lets me rate it 8 or 9, so, I rather gave it a 8/10. 😉 Really enjoyed the mission, thanks.
