The lack of human presence , whiny burricks, patronizing manor lord, patrolling guards, hubbub of the tavern and modern steampunk boiler hiss , industrial machineries and clattering electrical generator makes this mission very zen. You are presented with an old building full of mold & moss, and withered trees. These beyond-repair structures/buildings are just a mute witness . They invite you to rebuild them either using all the loot available or you run missions to steal building materials from southquarter or stonemarket plaza. If you ask them " is there any hidden cost if I stay here? " Prolly they will just keep mute themself because their position is mute witeness. If there are apparitions or haunts that bother you, it's only those who forgot about the concept of privacy and mind your own business attitude in their previous lives. You can also ask them " Aren't you tired of patrolling the same place and staying in your comfort zone? " and you mayreeducate them with the concept of 'to the end with nothing' mission. You may wonder why all these invisible entity don't have the ability to clean up the city like ordinary people. You can feel the fresh air in this town because there is no coal being burned. you have the opportunity to improve QoL in this empty city. In a thief universe, this might be a suitable place to go offgrid instead of going to a rural village that will be destroyed sooner or later by The mechanists.
