I was sort of between a 8 and 9 rating. 9, because it was really nearly perfect until the end. 8, because of that painting puzzle, and the pretty cumbersome "carry the body" end...
The mansion interior and gameplay was fantastic. If I had to criticize anything, then it's again that the mission shows its age a bit, and lacks a bit of detail. That said, again, the architecture and logical approach to the mission's objectives were excellent.
Story writing and readables: Excellent. There's absolutely nothing to criticize there. The story follows a logical path, and you get enough info to be able to know what to do, and where to go next.
I also liked the ambient music and sounds. Very good, and very fitting. Overall, I'm a fan of the pirate settings, already liked them in the original Thief's and Thief 3.
So, yeah, very nice mission.
