Well, what shall I say...it's my own fault, but I wouldn't be a good friend if I let Odi down now. I haven't seen him in nearly 13 years, my old buddy. Now he has gotten involved with the worst scoundrel in the city. This Kohan is always a thorn in my side because he and his bloodhound Powel hunt down many thieves. It's only a question of time until he comes after me. Odi invested 3,000 in gold with this scammer to buy into Kohan's paraffin factory. Now, Kohan supposedly doesn't know anything about it. Odi was nearly killed when he tried to find out about his investment on his own. This looks like a task for a Master thief, even more so as the factory is on Torner Island, in the middle of the river. And... Kohanis rich, very rich! This could be a worthwhile trip. I guess I don't need a map. Except for the abandoned monastery, there are only old walls and warehouses, and 3 to 4 newer buildings, so it will be fairly easy to find my way around. All the civilians have left this place. I wonder if Kohan is behind it, and I have a bad feeling that there's more to this than meets the eye. I have to hurry because I've heard that Kohan is packing up, and the last ship will leave in an hour... so there's no time left to go shopping. But, well, a clever guy like me can make do without much equipment.

Hmm, last night I dreamt of the Eye and the old cathedral. That is ancient history, and usually I'm not the sort to have nightmares, but now, strangely, all the details haunt me. Well, it won't deter me... so, time to get to work...
