Briefing

The library in the ruins of Darkglow has been untouched for centuries. It's sat in the middle of a city
teeming with undead, with no possible way in. Its knowledge and secrets hidden forever within its
magically sealed halls.

Until a week ago, that is.

Apparently, some kind of tidal wave hit Darkglow, flowing over the ruin and smashing its magical wards
to dust. For the first time in many hundreds of years, the library is open again. Or, at least, open
enough for my purposes.

My main target is "The Book of Untold Stories", some kind of anthology that apparently has some pretty
sizable enchantments on it. My client is certain it will be on the top floor, assuming it's still intact,
locked away with a collection of other magical texts.

With the place open, there is no sense in waiting. The longer I delay the more time the local government,
the Dominion, has to organise itself. Their bureaucracy is slow, but I really don't want to be here when
the hammer finally falls, and there won't be much left once they are done.

Such attention to little details... Blood drops made a small canal in the floor, the shelf collapsed under the weight of a hammer. Fallen slab here and there. The Time is breathing, and there is poetry in this breathing.

Nice FM overall, but i saw three issues
the biggest one is that the underground spider cave was a nightmare to get out of, you really need to rework that part
the other two ones are that some of the theming felt off, i dont think a lich would hang up hammerite banners, or keep these angel treasuers

I found the placement/amount of unpickable locks (or the weirdly mazelike servants' quarter) a bit eye-rolling, but overall I have to say, this is a well done mission with a nice difficulty balance and an interesting backstory. Don't expect any special twists, or surprises here - but still, it's a solid Thief experience showcasing some nice eff...

The Sunken Library is far from innovative, but still a decent medium-sized mission to play. Good use of stock sounds and textures to create the fitting atmsophere. A library is also nice for a change, not the first mission with that but there aren´t too many others, and a nice change from the usual tombs, mansions and city stuff.

I finished this mission in about 75 minutes. Got 2700 out of the 4000 or so loot. If you like abandoned castles and haunts and crab men, this mission is for you.
