It seemed to me that relieving Lord Martell of his ill-aquired wealth would be a simple job. Unfortunately, that was my first mistake - never underestimate a man with the reputation of being a butcher during the war with Blackbrook. My second mistake was getting caught coming over the wall. Fortunately, when his guards roughed me up they neglected to confiscate my boots, where I always keep a backup pair of lockpicks. It's a little hard to judge the time in my cell, but from the snores of the prisoners around me I guess it must be well past midnight. Time to make my escape. I've heard tales about how Lord Martell deals with those who displease him. I'd better get out soon, or this excursion could well be my last...
