A typical Cardia multiple maps fm - the first map is a rather uninspired and somewhat boring City section , as always the loot goal is insane! The 2nd mission is again typical Cardia - astounding level design and sound use , amazing item placement and SUPER annoying to find secret switches needed to progress. ... . This is the only thing holdi...
Cardia is an interesting author , his architecture ideas are very unique ,but always his missions have that something to REALLY annoy or even piss off the player. These 3 missions are no exception.
The first mission drops us into the thick of it - a space ship full of baddies for us to kill.Visuals are amazing, but 90% of the level is combat...
As Anna, the agent of the New Mechanist order we have to deal with some filthy pagans and rescue a kid.
The mission is bland and uninspired at the start , but as soon as you go underground the mission blossoms into one of the most unique looking missions you'll ever play.
The Quake 1 inspiration is obvious from the look and feel of the plac...
Very nice vistas and general feel of the entire mission , any sneaking you have to do is trivial.
It shows that this is the author's first mission , the lower floors of the tower are downright ugly in some spots , but as you ascend things get somewhat better. This mission is not about looks however , some AI placement is just mean most of the floors are loud or will just kill you. There are a few areas in which your navigational skills will ...
Very unique mission where you choose one of three modes :Hunt ,Chase or Race. You're then dropped in a large obstacle course where you have to compete.
Hunt - a hologram of an item is displayed , you have to find the item and bring it back and drop it into a chute to score a point.
Chase - a cannon fires a ball to a random location , you h...
A mission in which even maxed out gamma will not help you.It is not an enjoyable experience to save - explore using up flares and then reloading when you've wasted them all and repeating the process until you find your path.
Multiple readables can be frobbed but have no text.
Deserved winner of the contest.
The South Quarter of the City from TDS in Thief 2 and now infested with undead , whats not to like. The amount of undead is impressive (around 110) and really conveys a true feeling of zombie infestation.A few items needed to progress can be a bit too easy to miss and get you stuck , but that's what walkthroughs...
Child of Karras (Johannes Berthold) ported the South Quarter part from TDS and both Haplo and Brethren used it as a base for their missions for the Thief Reloaded Contest 2.
There are few changes from the Child of Karras version , puzzles for main objectives thankfully can be easily solved , those for optional objectives are point and cli...
Play as either a watchman trying to arrest Donal and Reuben or a thug defending his guild from the watch.Interesting concept - the mission is a slightly expanded version of the Downwind thieves guild OM, there is a lot of custom VO (a lot of it not that good). The watchman part can be finished , the thug part is so buggy that it can't be finishe...
The story is interesting - what happens to people when the mirror is invented in a world where even water does not reflect light. There are some neat tricks the mission plays on the player to catch them off guard. But all of this is overshadowed by the fact that there are few hints where the player should go and what they should do , to make thi...
You don't need fancy textures or effects to make a great mission just great level design and this mission proves that. The story is simple and gets the job done , the level design is amazing - you'll be going from roof to roof through peoples apartments , basements, houses etc.The feel of the City is great.
A top cozy mission
A typical Sensut mini adventure - looks are great and are achieved with effective use of mostly stock assets , story is well presented , interesting and tied to the original games , secrets are well hidden and symbols are added near them to spare players from combing the entire level.
As with almost all of Sensut's missions the player is wa...
A by the book fm - a few puzzles (not too difficult and not too easy) , overall simple architecture with a few more detailed sections here and there. The story is an afterthought used to steer the player through the level.
In typical Haplo fashion if you've snuck past most enemies by the end of the mission you'll have to deal with crowds of e...
Xorak has made a mission that looks great and has a intriguing story and given it the gameplay of a 90s adventure game, your inventory will be full to the brim with all sorts of items that you'll desperately will use on anything you find to solve the many puzzles the mission offers, expect A LOT of running back and forth. While I respect the i...
I'm surprised how most people have not played this mini campaign.Every mission is full of excellent use of dialog and scripted events, while the first mission is a bit barebones in terms of architecture the later missions more than make up for it.Play this great mission or you'll be missing out.
It's Garrett's graduation day at the Keeper Academy , what could go wrong ? A lot :)
The first part of the mission perfectly catches the aesthetic of the Keeper's from Thief 1, the academy is full of marble floors and not that well lit corridors and rooms offering any true master of stealth a challenge. The layout is good and the player w...
