First and foremost: Insert this file (graciously hosted by the author back in his days)https://www.dropbox.com/s/ph8pa8eyobuh36q/ws3_cleighmoor_map_patch.zip?dl=0into the folder "darkmod\fms\ws3_cleighmoor\maps" before you play to prevent A.I. from committing suicide and having you fail the mission. I got like halfway through before I fo...

Cardia is an interesting author , his architecture ideas are very unique ,but always his missions have that something to REALLY annoy or even piss off the player. These 3 missions are no exception. The first mission drops us into the thick of it - a space ship full of baddies for us to kill.Visuals are amazing, but 90% of the level is combat....

The beginning is quite simple. Starting point is outside of a Hammerite Temple and the temple is quite small from inside. There's a graveyard behind the temple and from there the journey goes underground. There's some puzzles before player gets to Sepulchre itself. I found the puzzles just enough challenging, not too difficult. The real creep...

A classic horror mission that holds up remarkably well 20 years on. Garrett sets off to investigate an abandoned Hammerite factory in the mountains, and what he finds there was so compelling that Ion Storm hired this mission’s author to work on Deadly Shadows. Playing it even now, one can see why: it showcased what a true auteur could do with th...

This is the best I've seen in regards to any kind of Thief-like gameplay. You get a gigantic city district with huge verticality (we're talking 7+ layers of substancial range), entrances on every level to I'd say 20+ locations ("friendly" and "hostile"), friendlies reacting to whether your armed or not, clever parcour sections everywhere, deep l...
Yes, it's a big BIG map, and to me the layout was the best part of this mission, The flow of the town and the intermingling of the castle walls, the factory, and the watery loading docks, I thought was just gorgeous. It reminded me somewhat of super vertical mods such as Ascend the Dim Valley. However, I found myself getting lost often and wande...
This is my short review for A Visit to the Baron, please note that the review contains important spoilers.Pros:+ Beautiful and well-designed outside area. Loved the cemetery and multiple civilian houses I could get into.+ Exploring the catacombs was a sheer pleasure. In my opinion, this is the best section of the mission. The skeleton an...

You knows it's a good MOD when thinking about it away from the game or trying to sleep. This is in 3 parts and it looks fascinating (especially the memorable dream sequence in part 2) and has a unique rocky/jagged landscape, clear objectives, and I think custom assets, It wasn't too long since I got thru it in under 2 hours. I definitely recomme...
Really fun mission, lots of back and forth, lots of vertical spaces, guards everywhere, tons of secrets and hidden passages. Really enjoyed it and was playing it in my head when not in the game.
This mission is huge and has a bit of everything. After nearly 4 hours of play time i was still missing half the secrets and 2000 in loot so there must be some really well hidden optional secrets. My only issue with this mission is the location of two non-optional switches that were difficult to locate (the fire room switch and the master bedroo...
I Noticed that the floors look good but wood worked supports walls etc not as good. (blurry)Can I use the Hi res texture pack with this FM?

Play this mission only if you are interested in the history of early era FMs. Otherwise, it's a rather poor mansion level with a lot of bugs (the mission cannot be finished unless you install a .dml patch that you can find on TTLG forums; I can imagine it was totally broken back in 1999), lazy design and object placement, uninteresting readables...
If you wanna enjoy BTDW at its finest, do yourself a favor and ignore the main objective of collecting the necklace in Beric's castle. Just explore everything else this FM has to offer: the sewers, the rooftops, the fairly enjoyable redables, but don't put your foot inside Beric's castle, because once you do it one thing will become painfully cl...

Its obvious a lot of care went into building this mission with its inspired concept and deep puzzles. However, Hilbert's Hotel is a maze and a key hunt which becomes far more frustrating than any of its puzzles. Almost every door requires a key to the point you will be surprised when they open freely or that you are able to use your lockpicks. ...
I'm not a big forced ghost fan, but I loved the creativity shown in these missions with its clever use of stock assets making up a modern hammerite skyscraper to pirate ships, forests, and deserted islands. The closest thing that comes to mind to compare this series to is something like the TWHL Tower mods where you never know what to expect wit...
A spectacular three-dimensional maze with scores of interconnecting ducts, paths and (sewer) channels that at times conjures that special magic of world-building ambiente of the very best and in terms of richness of content and visual elements even further improves on the exploratory pleasures of Disorientation. Feels much bigger than it actual...
This Halloween speed-build mission packs a lot of cool stuff into a small map.Using a mysterious local family's planned absence as an opportunity to burgle their house, you soon find things get weird and scary. Despite the fairly rudimentary architecture- understandable in a speed-build- the buildings are interconnected, with multiple entry ...
A good debut by Purah. I really liked the readables (you can immediately see that the author is a gifted writer), general atmosphere in the mansion, and numerous little secrets scattered throughout the level. I believe this is one of the first FMs containing the "mansion built over an evil crypt/temple" trope. If you ignore the problems with tex...
